Welcome to our FAQ page! We understand that you may have some questions about our programs and lessons, and we're here to help. We've compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions to provide you with quick and easy answers. If you can't find the answer you're looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. What are the pricesDepending on the program you are interested in, our prices vary. Select "Competitive" or "Non Competitive" from the menu at the top of the page, and see our prices there.

I don't know what level my child should be at.No worries! Go to our "Competitive Info" or "Non Competitive Info" page, select register, and submit your form. When we will contact you, we will determine the level of your child and go from there.

What are SNC/SO fees?Blue Waves Swim Club is a club associated with Swim Ontario and Swim Canada. All clubs must pay their dues to both Swim Ontario and Swim Canada. Swimming Natation Canada (SNC) maintains a national registry of all the clubs, coaches and swimmers for the purposes of reporting, strategic planning and programming. SNC has the following responsibilities: 1. Ensure the maintenance, protection and archive of a national registration database 2. Determine and communicate the requirements for Provincial Sections, Special Interest Groups, Clubs, Coaches, High Performance Clubs and Swimmer registration to the Provincial Sections. 3. Develop and implement procedures that address requests for transfer between clubs and provinces, and for resignation from SNC. For further information, you may look here.

What ages does Blue Waves Swim Club accept?We accept kids from six (6) years of age, up to 18. Children must be able to float by themselves without any assistance, and be comfortable in the water.

My child can't swim. Can they still join the club?We welcome all new swimmers and encourage everyone who has a passion for swimming to join us however, children must be able to demonstrate the following skills in order to join our club: Swim 10 meters without any assistance Be comfortable swimming on the back Be comfortable swimming on the front Have a basic knowledge of front and back crawl Listen to basic instructions Commit to swimming 2 times per week

I missed my class, can I make it up?Attending your scheduled swim session as agreed upon is strongly encouraged, as it is the most effective way to achieve your desired results. In case you miss your scheduled class, you may have the option to make it up based on our availability. However, we cannot guarantee a makeup class if there is no space available at the time you want to attend.

My child cannot attend a meet. What do I do?We understand that life happens, and your children have busy lives, so if you cannot attend a particular meet, YOU MUST SEND AN EMAIL 3 WEEKS PRIOR to the meet at contactbwsc@gmail.com.

What do the payments vary?The difference in the length of the sessions is due to changes in the operational schedule made by the TDSB, and the payment reflects the new session’s length.
